A vision for the future

To create a Local Plan that works for everyone, we need to imagine what Woking and its surrounding villages should look and feel like by 2044 - a shared vision for the future.

This means thinking about what you value most today, what you’d like to see change and how our borough can thrive in the years ahead.

We must also consider the key areas the Local Plan should focus on, such as tackling the housing crisis, planning future infrastructure, supporting nature recovery, creating jobs and opportunities, improving health and wellbeing, making it easier to get around, shaping great places and addressing the climate and ecological emergency.
